Gerald Leo Fulkerson, 66 of Linton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 at the Lyons Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was born in Linton on Aug. 15, 1940, the son of Melvin Leo "Buck" and Juanita L. (Shanklin) Fulkerson.
A veteran of the United States Army, he worked as a painter on water towers and bridges. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 22 and the Moose Lodge, both of Linton.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita Fulkerson of Linton; his four daughters, Lorraine (Jay) Leonard of St. Petersburg, Fla., Lisa Steele of Greencastle, Bonnie Fulkerson of Phoenix, AZ, and Tracie Donly of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Patricia "Pat" (Larry) Martin of Russiaville; five grandchildren, David Galager, Cristin Galager, Kyle Leonard, Chelsea Steele and Christopher Donly; and one great-grandchild, Jaci Galager.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel. Burial will follow at the Olive Branch Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday.
