Ronald K. Rogers, 63, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at his residence.
Born, April 19, 1943, in Bloomington, he was the son of Virgil and Adeline (Hollenbeck) Rogers.
He worked for the city of Bloomington as an administrator to the sexton at Rose Hill Cemetery. He was a member of the Hindustan Christian Church. He served four years in the National Guard before becoming a Marine and serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Survivors include his parents: Virgil and Adeline (Hollenbeck) Rogers, one daughter: Rene L. Abram of Owensburg, two sons: Adam R. Rogers of Jenoa, IL, Vincent Rogers of Ohio, seven grandchildren: Tia, Shaina, Mason, Chase, and Hunter Rogers, Wyatt and Noah Chaudion, three sisters: Virginia Barger and her husband Butch of Bloomington, Ruth Kreutzer and her husband Nick of Bloomington, Pam Pruitt and her husband Paul of Houston, TX, several nieces and nephews.
Private family services were today with Fred Stanger officiating. Burial is at Hindustan Cemetery.
Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hindustan Christian Church in care of Allen Funeral Home.
