Mildred G. Plummer, 84, of Sandborn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2006.
Born in Freelandville on July 24, 1922, she was the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Phillpe) Hamke.
She married James L. Doughitt, Jr (deceased) on May 31, 1941 and Charles Don Plummer (deceased) on Feb. 9, 1975.
She worked at GC Murphys in Linton until retiring in 1978. She is a member on the Sandborn Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Kurt L. (Cindy) Doughitt of Sandborn and Donn E. (Yvonne) Doughitt of Plymouth, MI; one daughter; Sue A. (Brantley) Blythe; a sister, Helen Strahley of Shoals; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, one daughter; Janice Jackson; a son, Joe Doughitt; two sisters; and two brothers.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. CST on Saturday at the Sandborn Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Sandborn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. CST.
Memorial contributions are to be made out to the Ketchem Memorial Activity Fund and Sandborn Baptist Church.
