George E. Wautelet, 91, of Linton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006.
Born in Linton on Sept. 23, 1915, he was the son of Edward and Susan (Baker) Wautelet.
He married Beulah (Risher) (deceased) on June 25, 1938 and Doloris M. (Alderson) on Aug. 27, 1988.
He owned and operated South Main Standard Station in Linton for 37 years until retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church and in 1965 joined the Linton Civitan Club.
Survivors include: his wife Doloris M. Wautelet, two sons; Robert Risher of Linton David Wautelet of Gilbert, AZ; two stepsons; Roger Sears of Linton and Brent (Renee') Sears of Linton; daughter Sue (Dale) Goddard of Linton; grandchildren: Bobby Risher, Pam Houston, Dawn Garcia, Dale and Casey Goddard; step-grandchildren: Rod, Daniel and Aubrey Sears.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Beulah Wautelet; daughter, Nancy Wautelet; two grandchildren, Jason Goddard and Crystal Wautelet; one great-grandson Jefferson Risher; and one sister, Sylvia Heath.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with the Rev. Scott Visser and the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
