Frieda Marie Jackson, 79, of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday Nov. 23, 2006 at Bloomington Hospitality House.
Born Feb. 26, 1927 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Harley and Mary (Hudson) Carmichael.
She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Peerless Trinity Church and she and her husband Vince were the first customers of the Bloomfield State Bank Eastern Branch.
Survivors include: her husband of 58 years whom she married on April 30, 1948, Vince Haram Jackson of Springville; three sons, Johnnie Jackson of Clarksville, Tenn., Larry Jackson of Bloomfield, and Tommy Jackson of Springville; one grandson, John Gregory Jackson of Tennessee; two step-grandchildren, Tiffany and John Hanner both of Bloomfield; one sister, Fern Noel of Bloomington; three brothers, Jimmy Carmichael of Bloomfield, Glen Carmichael of Paoli, and George Carmichael of Jasonville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one half brother, Harley Carmichael.
Funeral service was conducted Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral home with the Rev. Alan Phillips and the Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial was in Dishman Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
