Frances V. (Anderson) Bennett, 83, of Lewis, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born March 19, 1923 in Jasonville, she was the daughter of Harry and Ruth (White) Anderson.
She was a homemaker. A self-taught artist, she enjoyed drawing, fishing and crocheting.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law June and Warren Stephenson, of Lewis; daughter-in-law Pricilla (Keller) Bennett, of Jasonville; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Margaret Bennett of Madison; sister and brother-in-law Jean and Richard VanMeerten of Jasonville; sisters-in-law, Elsie Anderson of Jasonville, Nila Anderson of Clay City, Marilyn and Bill Oborn of Fairbanks; one brother Jim Anderson of Jasonville; one brother-in-law Ray and Lorraine Bennett of Connersville; grandchildren Scott and Teresa Bennett, Larry and Amanda Bennett, Jerry Bennett, Michael and Christy Stevenson, Brent and Kellee Stevenson, Chad and Tracy Stevenson, Amy (Bennett) Robertson and husband, B.J., Lori (Bennett) Fulford and husband, Troy, Kelli (Bennett) Unger and husband, Robert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bennett, Jr., who died Jan. 16, 1994; one son, Ted M. Bennett; one brother, Clyde Anderson; and one sister Betty Ginter.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at McClannahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
