Clinton A. "Clint" Cunningham, 98, of Linton, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 at Lyons Health & Living Center.
He was born in Linton on Sept. 10, 1908, the son of Tom and Clara Cunningham.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He and his wife owned and operated Cunningham Grocery in Linton for several years, raised cattle, and he retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He attended the Westside Church of Christ in Sullivan.
Survivors include three daughters, Patty Maddox of Bloomfield, Sally Vaught of Shelburn, and Judy Ketchem of Avon; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife of 82 years on Oct. 2, 2006, Auline Cunningham, a son, Max Cunningham, April 12, 1993, 10 brothers and sisters, and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 1 p.m. on Thursday with Chris Jackel officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
