Mark Randall Flynn, 45, Ireland, passed away Friday, Sept. 1 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born July 15, 1961 in Greene County to Roy Junior and Beverly (Swanson) Flynn.
He a driver for Ackerman Oil Company in Jasper. He had previously worked at Jasper Engine Exchange and was a sports offical for the Indiana Athletic Association.
He was a 1979 graduate of Switz City Central High School where he served as class president and was a four-year letter winner on athletic teams.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Precious Blood Church Choir, Ireland Knights of Columbus, the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Ireland and the Loyal Order of the Moose Club in Jasper.
He is survived by his wife, Irma; two sons, Matthew Flynn, of Washington and Ryne Flyne, of Ireland; his mother, Beverly Erfft, of Brazil; grandmother, Anna Belle Swanson, of York, NE; one brother, David and spouse, Michele, of Linton; two sisters, Debra Hobson, of Muncie; Rebecca Andrews, of Toledo, OH; one-step brother, Pajul Erfft, of Center Point; two step-sisters, Carol Culler, Brazil and Marian Worley, of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, Marion (Bud) Erfft; one brother-in-law Richard Hobson; and one niece, Lisa Gardell Webbs.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ireland with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 8-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ireland or to the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary of Woods College.
