Clara Mae Mackall, 89, of Oaktown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
Born Feb. 13, 1917 in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she was the daughter of Frank and Matilda (Loos) Kayser.
She retired from the U.S. Postal Service at Chicago's O'Hare Airport. She also worked at Crane and for Western Electric. She was baptized Lutheran.
Surviving relatives include one son, Keith Mackall of Carlisle; one daughter, Patty Mackall, of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the former wife of Clarence Mackall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Cleo and Clem Kayser, three sisters, Dora Mesch, Della Kayser and Marie Herrmann.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Bill Phegley officiating. Services will end at the Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 6, 2006 at 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
