Robert Oran Cox Sr. 64, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday Sept. 15, 2006 at his residence.
Born Jan. 1, 1942 in Solsberry, he was the son of Roy Irvan and Mary Ellen (Thompson) Cox.
He was an industrial truck driver for RCA in Bloomington and a member of the Solsberry United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol Sue; three sons, Robert Oran Jr. and his wife Joyce, of Owensburg, Bryan David and his wife Teresa, of Bloomfield, and Randy Roy, of Bloomfield; four sisters, Maxine Chitwood, of Nashville, Odessa Corbin of Solsberry, Fern Smith of Unionville, and Wilma Martindale of Bloomfield; granddaughters, Ashley and Rebecca Cox; and seven step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday at Solsberry United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Beadle and the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial was in Solsberry Cemetery.
