Golda (Christenberry) Keller, 104, of Newberry, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Lyons Health & Living Center in Lyons.
Born March 6, 1902 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Granville and Laura (Sipes) Christenberry.
She was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Newberry where she belonged to the Newberry United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors club, and the Do Better club. She had been home bound for several months with care giving from family and long time live in friend Helen Fiscus of Odon.
Survivors include: one sister, Farol Keller of Newberry; one nephew, Kevin and his wife Connie Keller of Newberry; two nieces, Karla & her husband Mark Trout of Loogootee and Coila Ledgerwood of Danville; and long time friend Helen Fiscus of Odon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claude Keller, two brothers, Fred and Norval Christenberry, and two sisters, Annis Christenberry and Jessie Carr.
Graveside service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prairie Chapel cemetery in rural Lyons, with the Rev. Tom Lapham and Rev. Robert Duly officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jenkins & Sons Funeral home in Bloomfield.
