* Sep. 11 -- Shelly I. Wright, 39, Spencer, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy John Fowler.
* Sep. 12 -- Matthew Rodriguez, 26, Linton, was arrested for public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. He's being held on $1500 bond. Linton Police Department Patrolman H. Murray was the arresting officer.
LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department responded on Tuesday to one title check, two information only, one utility call, one brush fire, three medical/illness, one alarm, two animal complaints, one prowler, two harassment complaints, one speeding vehicle, one attempted burglary, two thefts-other, two welfare check/concerns, two domestic disputes and provided one school/foot patrol and another extra patrol and made three traffic stops.
* Sep. 11 -- Linda Bedwell, J St. NW, Linton, reported the theft of a shiny blue lawn ball from her front yard. This was the only ornament taken but the culprit was believed to have been scared off by a neighbor. Linton Police Department Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
* Sep. 10 -- Linton Police Department Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen investigated a collision between a car and a bicyclist. Mica K. Starkey, 21, Dugger, was northbound in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am on Main St. to turn west on SR 54 when Jayden Burgess, 11, rural Linton, was crossing the west side of the SR 54-59 intersection on a bicycle. Burgess said he had the green crossing signal. Starkey did not see him and struck the back tire of the bicycle knocking the rider to the ground. Damages were estimated from $1001 to $2500. The rider complained of lower leg pain and was transported to the hospital.
