Lee A. Veatch, 74, of Martinsville passed away on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006 at Morgan Hospital and Medical Center.
Born July 12, 1932 in Greene County, he was the son of William and Olive (Roach) Veatch.
He worked at the Indianapolis Star/News for 20 years as a printer and later was a salesman at Value City Funiture. He was employed part-time at Rural King in Martinsville.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 577.
Survivors include: his wife, Martha J. (Burcham) Veatch, of Martinsville; two sons, Ronald Veatch, of Martinsville and John Veatch, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Kimberly Veatch and Debra Gentry, both of Indianapolis; three step-sons, William Versman and Gary Versman, both of St. Paul, Minn. and Gary Versman, of Bloomfield; a step-daughter, Mary Beth Baldridge, of Martinsville; two brothers, Bernard Veatch of Bloomfield and James Veatch, of North Manchester; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Edward Veatch; and two sisters, Frances Anderson and Dorothy Mills.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Walnut Grove Church of God, near Bloomfield, with The Rev. David Green and The Rev. Norman Able officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be conducted from 5-8 p.m. today at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville and from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday at Walnut Grove Church.
A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
