Iva Jean Baker Krocza, 82, of Elnora died at noon Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 in Harborside Health Care in Terre Haute.
She was born May 14, 1924, in Elnora to Emerson S. Baker and Jennie L. Cox. Her husband, James A. Krocza, died in 1989.
She was a homemaker, and was part of the Rosie the Riveter Celebration in 2005, having worked at Crane during World War II.
She was a member of Elnora Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Rebekahs, and the Republican Party, where she served as precinct committeeman for years.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn L. Myers and her husband, Michael D. Myers of Terre Haute; one granddaughter, Jami Michelle Myers of Terre Haute; two nieces, Loyce Nelson of Evansville and Billie Chesters and her husband, Don of Detroit; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She also was preceded in death by grandson, Gregory James Myers; sister, Louise Van Vliet; niece, Joyce Sabino and her husband, Ralph; and nephew, Richard Goodman.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Elnora Christian Church, with the Rev. Randy Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church. Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
