Francis F. "Bud" Haffley, 89, of Spencer, formerly of Ellettsville, passed away at Tuesday, Aug. 29 at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer.
Born Aug. 25, 1917, in Linton, he was the son of Felix and Etta (Wilson) Haffley.
He worked as a plumber for 48 years and was a member of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in Bloomington and Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 136 in Evansville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Philip Gene Haffley of Westfield; a daughter, Mary Faye Teague of Ellettsville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife, Betty Jean (Wilson) Haffley; an infant brother, William Haffley; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Lutz and his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Father Michael Fritsch officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
