Paul L. Daluga Sr., 88, of Linton passed away at 8:06 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2006 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Waukegan, Ill., to John Peter and Florence (Sackman) Daluga.
He retired from Hoosier Fence in Indianapolis, after 30 years. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, where he sang in the choir. He also was a life member of Knights of Columbus Council 437 in Indianapolis and the Men's Choir group of the K of C in Indianapolis, and was a former member of St. Joan Ark Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Force, 31st Air Group, during World War II and member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Rivelli) Daluga, of Linton; two daughters, Rita A. Smith, of Linton; Christine (Randy) Thayer, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Dr. Paul L. (Denise) Daluga Jr., of Linton; Daniel A. Daluga, of Linton; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Daluga, of Gurnee, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Francis Dagula and one sister Marian Mestek.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, with Father Hilary Vieck, officiating. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
