Louise Hensley, 85, of Linton, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2006 at Linton Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born Sept. 6, 1920 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Elba Bland and Nettie F. (Flory) Bland.
She had worked at RCA in Bloomington and the Linton Nursing Home in laundry. She retired in 1982. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include: two sons, Arthur L. Hensley of Dugger and James E. Hensley of Dugger; two daughters, Wilma R. and her husband Phillip D. Jerrell of Bloomington, and Carolyn F. and her husband Carl R. Crichfield of Linton; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a special friend Bob Story; two sisters, Virginia Archer of Linton and Wanda Crynes of Linton; and a brother Russell Bland of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Delmar, Virgil, and Junior Bland, and two sisters, Tootie Bland and Geneva Rogers.
Funeral service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Brother Virgil Bland officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
