Charles L. Orman, 69, of Jasonville, passed away at 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born Aug. 15, 1936 in Howesville, he was the son of Roy R. Orman and Sarah Fulford Orman. On July 10, 1959, he married Carmen (Connie) deGarteiz in Madrid Spain.
He was an U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired pipeline maintenance specialist for Citizen's Gas Co.
Survivors include: his wife Carmen "Connie" Orman of Jasonville; two daughters, Cindy and her husband Keith Franklin of Linton, and Christy and her husband Kevin Lehman of Linton; a son Louie Orman of Smyrna, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Brandy Franklin Gibson, Brooke Franklin Ward, Charli Lehman, Colbi Lehman, Aubri Lehman, and Ashley Orman; two great-grandchildren, Dreyden Ward and Gabriel Gibson; three brothers, Paul Orman and Willard Orman, both of Linton, and Jim Orman of Ohio; and two sisters, Myrtle Cox of Linton and Elsie Hays of Connersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Herb, Herald, and Herschel, and a sister Rose Neff.
Funeral service was at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel at 11 a.m. today with Pastor Gregg Orman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with military graveside services.
