MADISONVILLE, Ky. -- Lou Ann Wolford, 82, of Madisonville, Ky., passed away at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2006 at her residence.
Born July 8, 1923 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Paul Phillips and Gladys Wallace Phillips. She had been married to William F. Wolford, who passed away in 1982.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Hopkins County Historical Society, where she worked and volunteered.
Survivors include: two sons, James W. Wolford of Owensboro, Ky., and Mike D. Wolford of Madisonville, Ky.; a sister Jeanne Woolsey of Daleville; a cousin Mary Louise Lang of Tampa, Fla.; and four grandsons, Scott Wolford of Atlanta, Ga., Charles Wolford of Owensboro, Ky., Phillip Wolford of Columbus, Ohio, and Patrick Wolford of Owensboro, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home of Madisonville with Dr. Don Davis officiating. Graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at 3 p.m. EST on Thursday.
Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
