Earl "Brownie" Brown, 77, of Worthington, passed away at 5:03 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Oct. 22, 1928 in Conehatta, Miss., he was the son of Louis and Maggie (Boykin) Brown.
He retired from Allomatic in Sullivan in 2005, he also formerly worked for Williams Pipeline Company. He was a member of the Switz City Full Gospel Church, and Greene County and Indiana Gospel Music Associations.
Survivors include: his wife Grace (Kirkpatrick) Brown of Worthington; a son Steve Brown and his wife Cathy of Switz City; three daughters, Sheryl and her husband Dave Braswell of Worthington, Debra and her husband Dave Ramsey of Bloomfield, and Tami and her husband Jerry Tipton of Clarmore, Okla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert Brown of Forrest Miss., and Ollie Brown of Carthage, Miss.; and a half sister Linda Reed of Natchez, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Matthew Ramsey, and three brothers, David, W.J. & Junior Brown.
Funeral service will be at Switz City Full Gospel Church, 2 p.m. on Friday with Bros. Sam Hill and David Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.
