Frank A. Secrest, 82, of rural Jasonville, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born May 30, 1924 in Sullivan, he was the son of Robert Elzo Secrest and Martha Pearson Secrest. He had been married to Marion Secrest, who passed away in 2004.
He was a janitor at Shakamak School and a member of the Jasonville Church of God.
Survivors include: a son Harold Secrest of Jasonville; three daughters, Linda Sue Sluder of Worthington, Dorothy Heck of Linton, and Debbie Haseman of Jasonville; three brothers, Ray Secrest of Matoon, Ill., John Secrest and Henry Secrest, both of Linton; two sisters, Chloe Gambill of Dugger, and Mary Chanley of Linton; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion, a daughter Brenda Herrera, and a brother Herb Secrest.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Roy Rich and Pastor Randy Raney officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
