Edward Wesley Hutchison, 88, of Linton, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born March 1, 1918 in White County, Ill., he was the son of James and Anna (Gross) Hutchison. He was married to Bonnie (Davis) Hutchison.
He was a Worthington High School graduate, owner and operator of Hutchison's Service Station in Linton for over 40 years, and later worked as a part-time employee at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a long-time member of the Elks Club, and was active in the Civitan Club, all of Linton, and was a member of the Banks of the Wabash Chorus.
Survivors include: his wife of 68 years, Bonnie Hutchison of Linton; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Ronnie Booker of Dugger; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Elaine Hutchison of Venice, Fla., and Errol and Carole Hutchison of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and an aunt Clarrissa Edwards of Carmi, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Lodeema Hutchison.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
