LOOGOOTEE -- Benson W. Trout, 27, of Loogootee, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2006 at his residence.
Born Sept. 20, 1978 in Linton, he was the son of Joseph Mark Trout and Karla Keller Trout.
He was an attorney and had graduated from the University of Dayton Law School in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Loogootee High School in 1997 and Ball State University in 2001. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Loogootee Knights of Columbus, where he had served as a past officer.
Survivors include: his parents Mark and Karla Trout of Loogootee; a brother Will Trout of Loogootee; his paternal grandparents Jack and Fannie Strange Trout of Crane; his maternal grandmother Farol Keller of Newberry; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William Keller in 1977 and an uncle Jerry Keller in 1995.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bramble.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today at the Brocksmith Funeral Home in Loogootee. There will be a Knight of Columbus Memorial Service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Loogootee School Scholarship Trust Fund.
