Susan Spice-Thimlar, 57, of Linton, passed away at 11:10 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital of Bloomington.
Born Aug. 30, 1948 in Linton, she was the daughter of Donald and Phyllis (Talbott) Spice.
She worked as head cashier for Kroger's Grocery Stores, retiring after 28 years. She later worked with her brother at The Framery in Linton and then became proprietor of the business for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Tri Kappa, both of Linton. She was active with the Greene County Swim Team.
Survivors include: her daughter Mandy A. Moore of Linton; a grandson Cody Moore of Linton; an uncle John Spice of Linton; a brother Brad Spice and his wife Susan of Terre Haute; nephews, Jarrod and Will Spice and Andrew Thimlar; a niece Gwen Pearman and her daughter Sophia; a step-sister Melody McAdow of Lawrenceville, Ill.; and a step-brother Mark Colvin of Lawrenceville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her son Paul Talbott Thimlar, who passed away Feb. 10, 2005, her father Donald Spice, her mother Phyllis Spice-Colvin, and a step-father Clarence Colvin.
Memorial service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice through the funeral home.
