Kathleen M. (English) Stephens, 79, of Jasonville, passed away at 6:25 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Jan. 13, 1927 in Aurora, Ill., she was the daughter of Bud English and Tressa (McDonald) English. She had been married to Richard E. Stephens, who passed away Oct. 31, 1991.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law Tressa and Wayne Scott of Spotsylvania, Va.; a daughter and special friend Victoria Stephens and Dan Plummer of Indianapolis; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anita Swaby of Linton and Carolyn and Jack Sluder of Coalmont; a brother and sister-in-law Charles and Ruth English of Jasonville; and grandchildren, Ryan Scott, Katrina Butler, Kristina Deel and Kelly Deel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, a granddaughter Cassondra Scott, a sister Phyllis Marie English, and a brother Donald Lee English.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. on Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Bryan Sluder and Pastor Jerry Ross officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery at Midland.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
