Tom Connell, 70, of Worthington, passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his residence.
Born Feb. 23, 1936 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Raymond and Genda (Carlisle) Connell.
He was retired from Illini Swallow Bus Lines and had also worked in vending for several years.
Survivors include: his companion Judy (Griffith) Willis; six children, Stephen Connell of Indianapolis, Tom Connell, Jr. of Indianapolis, Linda Pitman of Kentucky, Peggy Connell of Indianapolis, Lester Connell of Indianapolis, and Pam Ingram of Indianapolis; five step-children; a sister Frances Connell of Linton; 29 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-daughter, and three brothers, Gene, Richard, and Bill.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with Bro. Matt Baker officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of service.
