Larry L. Flynn, 69, of Scotland, passed away at 8:49 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2006, at his residence.

Born July 10, 1936 in Lawrence County, he was the son of John Flynn and Bernice Henderson. He was married to Marlen (Townsend) Flynn.

He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired from civil service as a quality assurance specialist and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, the Linton Elks Lodge, and the VFW.

Survivors include: his wife Marlen Flynn of Scotland; a daughter Ericka and her husband Charles Hensley of Bedford; a stepson Rodney Roark of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Devon, Dillon, and Drew Hensley, and Stryker, Savannah, Remington and Cannon Roark; a brother Harold Flynn of Southaven, Miss.; and a stepbrother Howard Flynn of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two stepbrothers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery with military graveside services.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
