James P. "Jim" McCoy, 81, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in Lakeland.
Born Jan. 29, 1925, he was the son of Orlando and Omadell (McClellan) McCoy.
He was retired from McDonnel-Douglas in St. Louis. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and an Air Force Veteran of WWII. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1943.
Survivors include: his wife Georgia McCoy of Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter Janelle McCoy of Dublin, Ohio; a son Phil McCoy of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a granddaughter Michelle McCoy of Lawrence, Kan.; and a brother Charles McCoy of Jasonville.
He was preceded in death by a sister Olive Jean Green and a brother Dr. George McCoy.
Memorial services will be held at Worthington Christian Church at 11 a.m. Saturday with Keith Bellinger officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church after 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be given to the Worthington Senior Citizens.
