Larry L. Flynn, 69, of Scotland, passed away at 8:49 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2006 at his residence.
Born July 10, 1936 in Lawrence County, he was the son of John Flynn and Bernice Henderson. He was married to Marlen (Townsend) Flynn.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired from civil service as a quality assurance specialist and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, the Linton Elks Lodge, the VFW, and the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include: his wife Marlen Flynn of Scotland; a daughter Ericka and her husband Charles Hensley of Bedford; a stepson Rodney Roark of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Devon, Dillon, and Drew Hensley, and Stryker, Savannah, Remington and Cannon Roark; a brother Harold Flynn of Southaven, Miss.; and a half brother Howard Flynn of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two half brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery with military graveside services.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
