Robert L. "Bobby" Rogers, 54, of Linton, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 14, 1951, he was the son of Miles L. an Edith Leona (Clayton) Rogers. He was married to Marilyn (Edmonson) Stockrahm Rogers.
He was a reflexologist at Hair Scripts in Linton and a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 22, VFW Post 7118, and BPO Elks Lodge 866, all of Linton. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, where he served as a Prisoner of War. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include: his wife Marilyn Rogers of Linton; a son Robert Rogers of Seattle, Wash.; two step-daughters, Stephanie Arbuckle of Plainfield and Stacey Clark of Terre Haute; two step-sons, Stephen Stockrahm of Sullivan and Seth Stockrahm of Linton; four brothers, Miles Rogers, Charles Rogers, Jack Rogers, and Eric Rogers, all of Linton; two sisters, Phyllis Pittman and Alona VanDeventer, both of Linton; and seven step-grandchildren, Kirtley, Kayleigh, Holdon, Christian, Jaron, Kierra and Jalen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Bland and Lenora Rogers.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Danny Geatches officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
