Donald Wayne "Donnie" Landis, Sr., 56, of Warsaw and formerly of Jasonville, passed away at 3:06 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
Born July 17, 1949 in Linton, he was the son of Richard and Rachel (Riggle) Landis. On Nov. 23, 1968, he married Deborah Kay Rehmel.
He worked at the foundry in Warsaw as a supervisor.
Survivors include: his wife Deborah Landis of Warsaw; two daughters, Annette Melville of Fort Knox, Ky., and Melissa Landis of Cromwell; two sons, Donald Wayne Landis, Jr. of Mt. Home, Ariz., and John David Landis of Warsaw; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Turley of Naples, Fla., and Betty Stuck of Farmersburg; four brothers, Richard Landis of Michigan City, Rex Landis and David Landis, both of Morgantown, and Jerry Landis of Leesburg; seven grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and one step great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Paul E. Landis.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Jonathan Heard officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
