Marie Ludington, 76, of Worthington, passed away Saturday morning, March 11, 2006, in Bloomfield.
Born Feb. 21, 1930 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of James and Nellie (Neal) Tansy. On Nov. 13, 1948, she married Warren Joseph Ludington. He passed away Aug. 16, 1973.
She was a homemaker and worked in several restaurants in the Worthington area. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Worthington.
Survivors include: a son James Joseph Ludington and his wife Linda of Jasonville; six daughters, Jeanne and her husband Rev. Gary LaFary of Martinsville, Jacquelyn Sue and her husband David Kirkpatrick of Clay City, Judy Kay and her husband Bill Arthur of Worthington, JoAnne and her husband Randy McNeill of Terre Haute, Jayne Louise and her husband Robert Chambers of Pittsburgh, Calif., and Jamie Pearl Ludington of Worthington; 16 grandchildren, Jodi Jester, Michael LaFary, Lori LaFary, James Kirkpatrick, Brian Meek, Harold Meek, Brittney Arthur, Amy Eberhardt, Ronnie Wall, Jr., April Wall, Raven Chesterfield, Holly Ruebottom, Elizabeth Capps, Kristy Roehrig, Heather Brass, Bobby Gorby, Jr.; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Warren Ludington, four brothers, James Albert, Kenneth Paul, John Edward, and Carol Gene Tansy, and twin granddaughters, Sherri Kay and Kerri Marie Gorby.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Rick Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
