Kathleen Osburn, 94, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5:32 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Jan. 9, 1912 in Lyons, she was the daughter of John M. Sheehe and Donna Neidigh. She had been married to Paul K. Osburn, who passed away in 1989.
She was a retired school teacher of 41 years, having taught at Switz City Schools in Indiana and at schools in Ohio and Missouri. She was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church, the Eastern Star in Missouri, and the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She graduated from Ross Business College in Grand Junction, Colo., and also attended Indiana State University, Arkansas State University, and Indiana University.
Survivors include: a niece Mary Ann Hutchinson of Lincolnshire, Ill.; a nephew Dr. Richard Osburn of Utah; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Osburn, and a sister Jeannette Helms.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with Joe Overman and the Rev. Brent Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
