WABASH -- Wanda Shawnee Siders, 76, of Wabash, passed away at 6:06 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born Dec. 17, 1929 in Lyons, she was the daughter of Wayne and Lula (Shorter) Brinson. In December 1945, she married James Lamoine Clark; he passed away September 1951. Then on Feb. 7, 1953, she married Jean Siders; he passed away March 13, 2000.
She worked at the Wabash Carnegie Public Library, retiring after 17 years. She was a member of the College Corner Brethren Church, a member and past president of the Wabash American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Public Employees of Indiana.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Ann and her husband Andrew Hiley of Oviedo, Fla., and Beverly and her husband Keith Jeffers of Peru; two granddaughters, Michelle and her husband Marc Mitchele of Oviedo, Fla., and Kelley Donaldson of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandsons, Scott Jeffers and his wife Terri of Charlotte, N.C., and Billy Jeffers of Peru; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harold "Mike" Brinson and his wife Susie of Linton, Winston "Pat" Brinson of Fayetteville, Ark., Robert Lee Brinson and his wife Shirley of Linton, and David Brinson and his wife Margaret of Lafontaine; and two sisters, Helen Palmer of Wabash and Linda and her husband Dan Tucker of Lagro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband James, her second husband Jean, two brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, today at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Black officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion.
Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home.
