Berniece Clayton, 68, of Solsberry, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006.
Born Oct. 2, 1937 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Fred Cullison and Ida King. She had been married to Joseph Roy Clayton, who passed away April 29, 2003.
She was self-employed as a school bus driver for Eastern Schools for 44 years and attended the Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include: a daughter Connie and her husband Kirby Divine of Solsberry; three grandsons, Shea Parkes of Indianapolis, Gary Joe Divine of Solsberry, and Carter Divine of Solsberry; a granddaughter Casie Divine of Solsberry; four brothers, Donald Cullison of Bloomfield, Bill Cullison of Solsberry, Harold Cullison of Bloomfield, and Herschell Cullison of Bloomington; five sisters, Patsy Clayton of Riceville, Tenn., Nora Ellen McDaniel of Bloomfield, Violet Tally of Bloomfield, Joyce Lintz of Bloomfield, and Brenda Potts of Bloomington; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Joseph Roy Clayton
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Sylvania Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Bob England and the Rev. Dave Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Sylvania Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. today, and two hours prior to the service Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
