Kyle "Shag" Stephen Banks, 28, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 in a tragic boating accident.
He was born Dec. 18, 1977 in Phoenix, Ariz.
He was a 1996 graduate of Eastern Greene High School, where he excelled in sports, lettering in baseball, basketball, and umpiring in Pee Wee ball games. He received an associate's degree in Applied Science and an apprenticeship technology for Electrical Line Tech from Ivy Tech. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and had completed his apprenticeship for Journeyman, Line worker, and was employed at UBWI REMC Bloomfield as a Lineman. He was a member of the Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include: his wife Teddi Lynn (Cantrell) Banks; two daughters, Kaidee Lynn, 4, and Rylee Ann, 2; his parents Bob and LuAnn Thompson; a sister Crystal Maddox; three brothers, Tom, Shane, and Casey Thompson; his grandparents, Lewis Banks, and Gene and Peggy Brownell; his in-laws, Dee Cantrell, Greg and Cindy Strauss, Julia Cantrell, Shawna Potratz, Justin and Lacey Strauss, and Amy and Sarah Drysdale; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Deremiah Frye Mortuary, Green and Harrel Chapel, 700 Gourley Pike, Bloomington. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Friends may call Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the chapel.
