Iva K. Haberle, 98, of Jasonville, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville.
Born Sept. 12, 1907 in Jasonville, she was the daughter of Walter Thomas and Lou (Wallace) Thomas. She had been married to Joseph Byron "Barney" Haberle, who passed away Jan. 20, 1978.
She was a clerk at Jasonville Hardware for several years. She was a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church of Jasonville.
Survivors include: a daughter-in-law Marilyn Haberle of Des Peres, Mo.; five nieces, Marjorie Knox of Jasonville, Sueann McClanahan of Jasonville, Marie Markle of Linton, Mary Lou Leichty of Clay City, and Dorothy Gallion of Jasonville; and three nephews, Harold Thomas of Jasonville, Claude Thomas, Jr. of Jasonville, and Bob Hubble of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, a son Joe Haberle, two sisters, Elsie Hubble and Edith Richert, and five brothers, Claude Thomas, Quince Thomas, Charles Thomas, Roy Thomas and Cecil Thomas.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with pastor Mark Messmer officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery at Midland.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
