Mary V. (Hill) Hatfield, 91, of Lyons, passed away at 3:58 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Lyons Health & Living Center.
Born March 7, 1915 in Owen County, she was the daughter of Winfield Hill and Dolly Manners. She had been married to Freel D. Hatfield, who passed away March 2, 1993.
She was a homemaker and a Red Hat Society member. She attended the Nazarene Church in Newberry and was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: a daughter Joyce and her husband Robert Johnson of Elnora; a grandson Richard Douthitt of Bloomington; a granddaughter Denice Goolsby of San Francisco, Calif.; a great-grandson Joseph Goolsby, Jr. of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister Violet McFarland of Lyons; two step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Freel, a son Sonny Hatfield in 1987, and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Bill Purcell officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery at Lyons.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
