Bobby B. Maxey, 77, of Dugger, passed away at 7:55 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2005, at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born February 22, 1928 in Westphalia, he was the son of William and Florence Patton Maxey. He was married to Wilma Bedwell Maxey.
He worked at Johnson's Feed Mill and was an Army veteran and member of the Dugger American Legion.
Survivors include: his wife Wilma Maxey; four sons, Tom Reed of Sullivan, Billy Maxey of Vincennes, Bob Maxey of Richmond, and Brian Maxey of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Vickie Bennett and Debra Maxey, both of Dugger; three brothers, Tom Maxey of Anderson, Jim Maxey of Washington State, and Ron Snyder of Linton; four sisters, Gay Swan of Anderson, Kathleen Enochs of Patoka, Brenda Pittman of Anderson, and Sue Barcus of Sullivan; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Barbara Pierce and Virginia Alderman, four brothers, John, Paul, Fred and Bill Maxey, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Newkirk's Funeral Home, Dugger with Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery.
