Harold W. Hudson, 83, of Bremen and formerly of Whiteland, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at Bremen Health Care Center.
Born March 25, 1922 in Owensburg, he was the son of Merle and Audrey (Wade) Hudson. He married Dorinda L. Adams in Henderson, Ky., in 1943; she preceded him in death in 1999.
He was a retired carpenter, working 20 years for Brandt Brothers and 16 years for Kroger. He was also a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Greenwood, the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, and Carpenters Local Union 758 in Indianapolis. He was a U.S. Army veteran from World War II, where he served with the 208 Battalion of Combat Engineers.
Survivors include: a son Gary Hudson and his wife Kathy of Bremen; three grandchildren, Molly and Kelley Hudson of West Lafayette, and Nathanael Hudson and his wife Renee of Peoria, Ariz.; and two great-grandchildren, Erin and Ryan Crosby, both of Peoria, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Dorinda.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, U.S. 31 and Main St., in Greenwood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Garden Cemetery, Greenwood.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
