Eunice (Fuel) Bennett Hochstetler, 90, of Spiceland and formerly of Lyons, passed away at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006 at her residence.
Born June 30, 1915 in Lyons, she was the daughter of Ernest Fuel and Ella Dee (Sanders) Fuel. On Dec. 24, 1931, she married William Leo Bennett, who passed away in August 1959. She later married Wayne Hochstetler, who passed away in February 1999.
She worked at Chrysler Motor Co. for 12 years and at Crane for one year. She was a member of the Kennard Baptist Church of Kennard.
Survivors include: a son Dale Bennett and his wife Kay of Spiceland; two grandsons, Chuck Bennett and his wife Jana of Bartlesville, Okla., and Brian Bennett and his wife Donita of League City, Texas; two granddaughters, Jo Dee and her husband Todd Casteel of Indianapolis, and Deleny and her husband Jason Campbell of Indianapolis; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Julie, and Christy Bennett, Tracy and Jason Bennett, and Amanda, Kaylyn and Tyler Casteel; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband William Bennett, her second husband Wayne Hochstetler, an infant son Jackie Leo Bennett, three brothers, her twin Eulis Fuel, Cletis Fuel, and Trajan Fuel, and two sisters, Ruth Ksiazyk and Marie Fish.
Funeral service will be at Sandborn Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Friday with Michael Fish officiating. Burial will be at Sandborn Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
