Michael James Rulle, 54, of Terre Haute, passed away at 11 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital after a three-month battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 27, 1952 in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of Donald and Theresa Koenig Rulle.
He worked quality assurance at the Indiana Air National Guard. He attended Catholic elementary, high school and junior college in Kansas City, Mo., and also attended Indiana State University. He had 33 plus years of military service in the Air Force. He was activated in support of Operation Northern Watch at Incirllk Air Base, Turkey. He was a Master Sergeant and had military decorations awarded for Air Force Outstanding Unit Medal and Global War on Terrorism Medal.
He attended St. Margaret Mary Parish. He was a previous member of the Corvette Club. His hobbies included being a fan of NASCAR racing, reading, going to movies, and vacationing with his family.
Survivors include: his wife Rita Hale Rulle; his mother Theresa Rulle; three daughters, Amy Green Lasecki (Marty), Heather Green Solis (Merze), and Sarah Green Potts (Michael); two brothers, Bernie Rulle (Mary) and Don Rulle (Kandice); six grandchildren, Kyle, Nicholas, and Sierra Lasecki, Savanna and Ian Solis, and Haley Potts.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, Terre Haute, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Father Joe Kern officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
