Harley Clayton Burke, 77, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:47 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born April 18, 1928 in Edon, Ohio, he was the son of Charley Clayton Burke and Nina Burlew. He was married to Ina Mae (Shaffer) Burke.
He was a retired truck driver and had driven for RH Marlin.
Survivors include: his wife Ina Mae Burke of Bloomington; his children, Ronnie and his wife Deanna Burke of Solsberry, Marilyn West of Bloomington, Saundra Burke of Bloomington, and David and his wife Debra Burke of Fishers; two sisters, Dorothy Ireland of Angola, and Elizabeth Cross of Davison, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Brian Burke of Bloomington, Becky Kirkpatrick of Terre Haute, Christina Axson of Solsberry, Lonica Burke of Solsberry, Lisa West of Bloomington, and Dekota, Dylan and Delaney Burke of Fishers; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Rob Martindale officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today, and from noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
