Richard D. Jackson, 67, of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:18 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2005 at Lyons Health & Living Center.
Born May 5, 1938 in Greene County, he was the son of Ale Jackson and Hazel Gilham.
He was an Army veteran and had been a sales manager for General Motors. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and attended the Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two children, Regina McClure of Las Vegas, Nev., and Richard Andrew Jackson of Indianapolis; a granddaughter; two sisters, Mary L. Jenkins of Bloomfield, and Imogene and her husband Lester Flynn of Koleen; his mother Hazel L. Fuller of Bloomington; his step-dad Arthur Fuller of Bloomington; a good friend Janet Byers of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and two infant brothers Bennie Ray Jackson and Jackie Lee Jackson.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with Rev. Ralph Roach officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery, Bloomfield.
