Gary Earl Allen, 50, of Bloomfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 after a sudden illness.
Born April 28, 1955 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Earl A. Williams and Deloris Hiatt. He was adopted by Wayne and Bessie Allen of Bloomfield.
He was employed as a contractor in Florida and also worked for Culligan in Indianapolis for 15 years.
He loved fishing, had a special enthusiasm for barbecue recipes, tinkering with many projects, his computer, rose gardens, and house cats.
Survivors include: his life partner Dorothy Goad of Bloomfield; his mother Deloris of Indianapolis; a daughter Angela and her husband Kevin Gardner of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son Gary Dean Allen of Indianapolis; an adopted son James Earl Allen of Indianapolis; four sisters, Cindy and her husband Bill McCombs of Linton, Debi Sheldon of Wisconsin, and Bernice Smith and Jennie Baker, both of Linton; two brothers, Michael Cassida and his wife Alisha of Linton, and Bill Hiatt of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; Uncle Robert and Aunt Gladis Bough; many Allen and Hardesty relatives; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Wayne (Pappy) and Bessie (Fanny) Allen, his father Earl Williams, and a brother Cecil Williams.
There will be no service or visitation at this time.
