Born Sept. 14, 1939 in Spencer, in the family home, he was the son of Fred and Mildred (Eichenlaut) McClarren.
He graduated from Spencer High School in 1957, attended Indiana University, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the U.S. Jonas Ingrahm. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spencer. He retired in 2004 as a lieutenant security guard for American Security in the justice building.
Survivors include: a sister Dixie McClarren of Spencer; a brother Charles McClarren, Ret. Col. A.F., of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two nieces; two nephews, four great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Spencer with the Rev. Shannon Benham officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer, today from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from noon until the time of service at the church.
