Donald L. LeCocq, 63, of Jasonville, passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born Jan. 6, 1943 in Greene County, he was the son of Paris LeCocq, Sr. and Berniece (Wilson) LeCocq. In July 1961, he married Judy (Joseph) LeCocq.
He was a coal miner, working for Black Beauty Coal Mine and Peabody Coal. He was a member of the Vicksburg Baptist Church, the United Mine Workers of America, and the White River Valley Antiques Association. He graduated from Midland High School and collected antique tractors.
Survivors include: his wife Judy of Jasonville; a son Jeff LeCocq of Jasonville; a daughter Sherri and her husband Floyd Cramer of Jasonville; two brothers, Paris LeCocq, Jr. of Bloomfield and William E. LeCocq of Linton; a sister Darlene Hankins of Sullivan; two grandchildren, Josh Montgomery of Jasonville and Brittany Cramer of Jasonville; and a great-grandchild Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Philip A. LeCocq.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, and after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
