Clarence Paul "C.P." Willen, 83, of Worthington, passed away at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at his residence, where he had lived all of his life.
Born Oct. 24, 1922 in Owen County, he was the son of Charles R. and Dorothy (Speas) Willen. He was raised by his grandparents, Frank and Flora Speas. He had been married to Betty (Shouse) Willen, who passed away Sept. 8, 1981.
He was a farmer and formerly drove a school bus for Owen County Schools for over 40 years. He enjoyed selling fresh produce and hay to his friends and neighbors in his later years.
Survivors include: a son Bill Willen and his wife Cherry of Indianapolis; a daughter-in-law Sharon Willen of Indianapolis; and four grandchildren, Emily and Kate Willen of Indianapolis, Ross Bobenmoyer of South Bend, and Brad Bobenmoyer of Royal Oak, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, and a son John Willen, who passed away Aug. 13, 1993.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Worthington Alumni Association in honor of his son John or the donor's choice.
