Letitia J. Schad, 84, of Dugger, passed away at 9:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born Oct. 20, 1921 in Dugger, she was the daughter of William Swan and Blanche Arnold Swan. On June 9, 1946, she married Ormand Alfred Schad, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Dugger Senior Center, the Dugger American Legion Auxiliary Post 224, and attended Dugger First Christian Church.
Survivors include: a son William Schad and his wife Penny of Brazil; a daughter Margaret and her husband Mike Leggett of Tipton; a brother Richard Swan of Dugger; two sisters, Lorna Dellion and Ruth Williams, both of Dugger; four grandchildren, Trisha Ann Schad, Greta Jean Turnage, Michael Shane Leggett, and Christina Kapper; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ormand, three brothers, William, Robert, and James Swan, and three sisters, Mary Ballard, Colleen Johnson, and Rebecca Swan.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor John O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
