Dennis Haley, 60, of Lyons, passed away at 8:38 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born July 1, 1945 in Posey County, he was the son of Harold (Pedad) and Irrus (Hague) Haley. On Oct. 14, 1984, he married Susan Burch.
He was an over-the-road truck driver for Smith Transport of Pennsylvania and a member of the Teamsters Union 135. He attended the Bethel Baptist Church in Linton and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include: his wife Susan of Lyons; his mother Irrus Haley of Florida; three daughters, Sandy Utterback of Tennessee, Tammy Ives of Sullivan, and Denise Isley of Seymour; one son Joe McKinnon of Newberry; nine grandchildren; one sister Vickie Haley of Nebraska; and one brother Cloud Haley of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father Harold Haley.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary of Bedford with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
